A wonderful selection of art showcasing amazing local artists up till February 25. Enjoy. Check them out, short bios included for some, more coming.
Congratulations #Linda_Laforge, your amazing Celtic cross has found a forever home. #becontemporarygallery. When portrait artist Linda Laforge isn't making people laugh drawing caricatures, she’s creating in her studio listening to podcasts or old movies as background noise. Exhibiting regionally, her work contains themes of loss and spirit, with concerns for social and ecological balance. An accomplished writer and poet, Laforge is one of the creative forces behind ‘Word Up’ bringing pro and amateur writers together in Simcoe County

Today is ArtToronto's National Gallery Hop Day if you are in Toronto, lots of galleries participating, so in the spirit of the event, even though too new to know ... if you are in the area, give me a shout at 705 431-4044 to see if there is a spot. Hop in to see the inspiring lens-based work of Willam Moore, in Pollination, a photo essay. During the pandemic, William's focus was on capturing a moment in his garden, so art does happen despite a pandemic.
So grateful for the support of these amazing Leaders of our community taking the time to visit, Mayor Lynn Dollin, and MPP Andrea Khanjin, both very supportive of Arts and Culture. I found out about some great initiatives Andrea Khanjin is supporting that will be key for small businesses and hopefully the gallery. It was so encouraging their positive support has made a huge difference in staying on course. Thank you again.#MayorLynnDollin, #MppAndreaKhanjin
