WHAT TO DO IF YOU SUSPECT BED BUGS???? Upon inspection of your room no trace of bed bugs may be found. They are experts at hide n seek so it is possible they are there. But as of right now there is not enough evidence to suggest they are there for sure. It takes the eggs 15 days to hatch and it takes them 5 weeks to become adults. So a total of 7 weeks for them to mature into adults. This means bed bugs only become a big issue if they go unchecked for months and months.... A good preventative measure is to throw all your bedding in the DRYER for 45 minutes. Including your pillows with pillow cases on. This kills all bed bugs and their eggs if any are present. Feel free to wash your bedding after you have dried it. Bed bugs feed about once a week. So if you keep getting bites you will know it's there. It will be easier to tell in winter time because it rules out the possibility of mosquito bites. Just keep on monitoring, if you don't notice anything for 3 months then you don't have bed bugs. The wrong mentality to have is being afraid of bed bugs and avoiding everyone and everything that might give you bed bugs.
