Hello everyone! We are having a meeting of the Bedford Days Working Group next week where we will be discussing program ideas for 2021. As it stands now, it looks like most of the events will be virtual, with the possibility, COVID allowing, of having a few smaller, preregistration required, events. Now that we have all had almost a year of doing things virtually, does anyone have any ideas about what kind of virtual events would be fun? New programs that may be available? Anything that you did, that turned out great? Please let us know.

The Bedford Days Working Group met this week to review our 2020 program and to initiate discussion on Bedford Days 2021. Due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 and restrictions that may still be in place, we need to pull together events that can be undertaken in a variety of cases. At present, focus will be on a combination of both virtual and small, in-person events, with preregistration being required for those that are in-person. Thought is also being given to providing multip...le shows to allow for a larger number of people to enjoy, and also bringing Bedford Days to a variety of areas, rather than one venue. We will keep you updated as more progress is made. In the meantime, the two videos below are still available for viewing. Although Bedford Days 2020 was very different from past years, we hope you get a chance to enjoy what we were able to offer. The Bedford Days Working Group had chatted about having a retro drive-in movie at the BMO Centre even before COVID-19 hit the news. Rumour has it that there will be one there in late August, supplied by this group. In the meantime, there will be one on Friday, July 31st at Ecole du Sommet. The movie will be the "Lego Movie, Part 2". Tickets are $5.00 per person. More info can be found at the link below.

The Bedford Days Working Group would like to thank the following dance studios for supplying us with amazing instructional videos on a variety of dances: - Element Dance Studio; - Trena’s Studio; - Maritime Dance Studio; and ... - Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy. It was our intention to post the four videos on Canada Day but, due to technical difficulties, we were unable to do so. Never say never though as we are still trying to find a way to share them.
