Lucky #OntarioHoney #PureHoney This week's wind storm really cleaned things up. Trees and branches were falling everywhere and luckily this dead elm crashed right down beside the hives instead of through them. Yes, sometimes you just have to count your lucky stars! Check out our marketplace for all our fresh honey for your Christmas shopping at https://buff.ly/32PhxSR

We are still exploring Ontario looking for ancient trees and new seed sources. We have to thank Dan for this incredible find. This is the oldest, biggest sycamore we have come across. It took all 3 of us, linking hands, to encircle this tree. Very, very lucky to find some seed balls. Can't wait to see how they germinate!

Happy Thanksgiving I think this says it all. Let us remember to be grateful for what we have and not be discontented with what we don't have.

#NaturallySpeaking #OntarioNativeTrees #AncientTrees In Search of the Ancients In the spring of 1997, the City of Toronto proclaimed 150 trees, over 125 years old, as an ancient grove in honor of Tuhbananequay, the daughter of the Chief of the Mississaugas, at the time of the Toronto land purchase. How exciting to find some of these trees and, even more exciting, to find acorns! Can't wait for next spring. Check out our marketplace and Ontario native plant inventory at https://buff.ly/2F4doSh

#NaturallySpeaking #OntarioNativeTrees #Ancient Trees In Search of the Ancients The author Lucy Maud Montgomery lived in her house named " Journeys End ' until her death in 1942 in Toronto near the famous Toronto Carrying Trail and Humber river. She is famous for her novels of Anne of Green Gables. These ancient black savannah oaks lined the streets and parks where she lived. Very lucky to gather some acorns from these giants and they are now safely in refrigeration waiting to germinate in the spring. #NaturallySpeaking #OntarioNativeTrees #AncientTrees In Search of the Ancient We visited the giant Swansea White Oak today. This tree resides in the historic village of Swansea which is more than 300 years old. I estimate the age of this mighty oak places it at the initial establishment of Swansea. This oak is part of our ancient tree program. To see the full story go to our knowledge base of our website. With Thanksgiving coming why not some fresh Ontaro honey for the pies? Check out our marketplace at https://buff.ly/3d16GJn
