CROKICURL! We know, you probably had to read that a couple times. But we’re already thinking ahead to next winter season and we have an idea to share! We are trying to see what kind of interest there would be for Crokicurl at the Beechgrove Rink. This is a game that has taken off in Western Canada and we would love to bring it to the Pontiac. We would build a separate ice for this game, and it would not interfere with any skating or play on the existing rink. ... Please have a fast read and let us know what you think!!

WE’RE BACK!! Thanks to the drop in temperatures the Beechgrove Rink is back up and running! Please note our new schedule posted at the Shack. Thanks!

Unfortunately because of the mild weather we will be closing the rink for a few days. This in order to minimize the damage to the ice that our volunteers have worked so hard to maintain. Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you posted when it’s back up and running. With a Polar Vortex in the near future it shouldn’t be too long!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! While there have been many that have contributed to the renovation of the rink this year, we just wanted to take a moment and give a special thanks and shoutout to Stephen Rusenstrom for all his hard work. Steve made this project his own, and our community can now benefit from his effort. Thanks Steve it looks great!!

We are excited to announce that the Beechgrove Rink IS OPEN FOR SKATING!!! Thank you to our wonderful community for all the support!! We would also ask that anyone using the rink to please follow the rules and regulations for social distancing and group activities that are required at this time. Have fun!!!

Fingers crossed! If we can get the right weather we’ll be ready for skating soon!

Getting close everybody!

Winter is here and we’re going to start getting our beloved rink ready. The snow is a bit ‘fluffy’ to pack just yet, but we’ll be clearing the parking area and checking out the shack for repair. We’ll continue to update as we progress!

Getting closer! An excellent base is ready. All we need is to get the warm spell over in the next couple days and we should be good to flood for a final finish.
