Behind the Cage Goalie Training 22.01.2021

Behind the Cage Goalie Training will be hosting a goalie coaching clinic for SLMHA at the Sioux Lookout Rec Center and Memorial Arena tomorrow night Jan 27, 2014. Classroom session at 8:00pm and on ice session to follow at 9:00pm. Open to all SLMHA coaches, assistant coaches and on ice helpers as well as goalie parents. The clinic is designed to educate coaches (an parents) on some basic fundamentals that should be used during practice and throughout the season to help train and support your goalies all season long. Hope to see you there!!!

Congratulations to current students Seth McKay and Magnus Ray of the SLMHA Bantam AA Flyers. The tandem went undefeated to help their team claim gold at the Thunder Bay Robin's Tournament in the Bantam AA Division. Nice work boys!!!!

Former Student Gets First NCAA DIV 1 Wins!!!! Jesse Wilkins got his first 2 wins of his NCAA Div 1 career January 10 and 11 in a 5-2 and 3-1 decisions against Lake Superior State. Jesse made 75 saves in 2 games will allowing only 3 against. In 6 games this season, the rookie net minder has a record of 2 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties with a 2.28 GAA and .935 sv%.

Behind the Cage Goalie Training 14.12.2020

Jesse Wilkins honoured by WCHA with Rookie of the Week. Jesse back stopped his BSU team to back to back 2-2 ties against Michigan Tech Dec 6 and 7 piling up 75 saves, 1.85 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage. Allowing only 4 goals in 1:30 minutes of action, including two overtime periods and blanking MTU on all 12 power play opportunities.
