READ this is not a drill. A few days ago I mentioned my access to some great minds in science and health of the body and mind. Some people reached out with th...eir interest in this information. I just got off a webinar. (set my alarm for 3:45 am to attend). This webinar was all the way from Italy with information around the COVID-19 info and stats as well as what is happening on the frontline. What did I learn or have confirmed? I'll make this simple. The information was high level but my take aways are all centred around prevention. I will not add to the fear though this is serious, make no mistake. I will share some points that will offer you opportunity to strengthen your body in no specific order. THIS IS SERIOUS -Prevention is what we all can and must do to protect ourselves and our loved ones and community. Do not take it lightly. Follow all the recommendations of social distancing, washing hands etc. -Inflammation puts us at a higher risk -know that the virus spreads from droplets, have good ventilation where you are and where people gather. Of course washing hands and disinfecting is important. -Consume Antioxidants (food and supplementation) to protect cells and reduce inflammation.Higher the ORAC the better. -have a low PH diet. Eat foods to reduce acidity healthy PH is preventative. -AVOID sugar and high glycemic foods -individuals with hypertension and COPD and inflammation are at a higher risk -beware of acid forming foods, pesticides and sulphites -zinc is important, many seniors are low in zinc -do not over eat adding stress to the body and know where your foods and supplements are coming from to prevent consuming unwanted toxins -reduce stress by moving your body, exercise Note: Most of this information is true whether there is a virus or not. Living a lifestyle and making choices that lead to a healthier body are always ideal. This virus has gotten our attention BIGTIME. Now is NOT the time to ignore the opportunity to make better decisions. I'm not sure why my path has put me in front of the expertise that it has over the last 25 years but I would be doing a disservice to the health of myself, family, friends and community if I did not share and help where I can.
