Welcome to MamaBear Holistic Care My name is Agnes. I am a Mama to an almost 11 year old boy , a wife of almost 15 years , an RN for 17 years with a bac...kground in Labour & Delivery . I am a huge Disney fanatic. Any opportunity I can to infuse Disney into my life, I will . I have a huge crush on Mickey Mouse . 11 years ago when my son was born, I struggled a lot. I had an emergency c-section, had difficulties breastfeeding, sleep training and adjusting to being a new Mama. We had no support. Our families didn't live here and we were one of the first from our friends to have a baby. I never felt more alone and overwhelmed as when I became a Mama. I read every book out there and with my nursing background, I thought I had it in the bag. Little did I know that my son had different ideas. I struggled by myself for over a year. I didn't know where to reach out for support. Last year, MamaBear Holistic Care was born I created MamaBear because: there is very little support for new Mamas information on the internet is misleading and overwhelming I wanted a safe space for Mamas where they could ask questions, and get the support they need I never wanted another Mama to feel as lonely and overwhelmed as I did Working in Labour & Delivery and now in the community, has taught me that so many Mamas struggle by themselves and it contributes to our mental wellbeing. We no longer have the village our Moms and Grandmothers had. Now being social isolated, it's even harder. It doesn't have to be that way, Mamas. I want to change this. I love being a Nurse and helping Mamas. Nothing brings me more joy than when I see a Mama thrive because she was given the support she needed .
