Ahh Masks, this is the face you are getting used to seeing when you walk in. And I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has been so supportive and happy to go along with the new protocols. I, just like other small businesses am worried about the potential for another shut down. And by you all wearing masks, you are helping protect my business moving forward. I know they are hot and uncomfortable but it means so much too me when you show up for your appointments smiling (under your masks) and your fantastic attitudes about the small changes that I have had to make. So I truly appreciate all the support and patience while we all navigate through this weird time in our lives! So thank you, thank you, thank you!

Bella Day Spa is turning 14 years old!! Can you believe that tomorrow I have been down here painting fingers and toes for 14 years!! I can't believe it! But, I sure am grateful and thank everyone who has ever had an appt with me!! I am feeling very blessed to do what I do! So, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Opening in June!!!! Yay! I am so excited to get back to work, but there are a few changes to the way business will run. I have some new regulations set out by Work Safe B.C. to follow, nothing too crazy but here is a list of some changes. -I will be booking larger gaps between clients for extra cleaning as well as social distancing between clients. ... -There will be no waiting area, please dont arrive early, if you do, you will have to wait in your car till I am completely finished with the last appt. -Come alone, unfortunately at this time you cant bring friends or children to your appt. -No food or beverages allowed. -You will be asked to sanitize your hands after removing coat and shoes. -We both are required to wear masks, if you dont have any I have some here. -And of course, cancel if you are sick or someone in your household is sick. So thats all, not too bad! Some small changes that I am happy to make if it means getting to see you all again! Also June is starting to fill up so if you havent got your spot send me a message and I will fit you in somewhere.

Well, I am bored! I have been baking, crafting, trying to help my kids with their school, making christmas ornaments (yes Christmas ) cleaning, reading, yard work, painting and taking my dog for A LOT of walks. What are you up too??

Looks like I wont be able to open anytime in May, lets keep our un-manicured fingers and toes crossed that salons will get the green light for June!!

Its been two weeks since I shut my doors, and unfortunately they are going to have to stay that way for awhile longer. I have no idea at this point when I will be able to reopen. Hopefully everyone is handling this new way of life well, and I cant wait till I can get back to work!! What are you doing to pass the time?

Ahh Natural Nails.....who has naked nails right now? Well, there are some advantages to giving your nails a break from all that gel polish. And now is probably a good time to give them that break! When you take your gel polish off it gives your nail an opportunity to rehydrate. Also gel does do a little wear and tear on your nails, particularly if you peel it off! Peeling off your gel will always result in damage on your top layer of nail. So, if you are finding yourself with naked nails during this time of home isolation make sure you hydrate daily with a cuticle oil. Rub it at least once a day and watch your nails improve!! Then when we can all get back to business as usual they will have had a good break!

Day 1 Self Isolating! My boys decorated my tired old fence. It looks so colorful and cheerful it made me sad no one will be coming through my backyard to their appts to see it. So I am showing you anyways!! If you didnt already know, I will be closed until further notice. All spas, salons, and barber shops are ordered to shut down. What are you doing to keep busy???

So change of plans, unfortunately I am closing my doors for a minimum of 2 weeks. I am hoping to re evaluate the situation for the week of April 6. I will keep you posted on if I will be working again that week. So sorry to everyone who I have had to cancel appointments, but thank you for being so understanding!! ( If I havent got a hold of you yet please reach out, I have been trying to let everyone booked next week know!)

Well, I have been asked A LOT the last couple days what my plan is for the spa. And to be honest I am not sure, it is recommended that spas close, however at this point in time I am staying open with limitations. I will continue to honor any booked appts but will not book in any new clients or new appts for the next couple weeks, of course if you have been traveling, or are not well, or others in your household are not well I ask you to please cancel for the time being.... Moving forward with the kids not going back to school my hours and days available will change and I will post that once I figure it out. And of course this may change and I may shut down or be told to shut down and I will post that as soon as I know as well. Sorry for the uncertainty! Spa services are definitely hard to do from a 6 foot distance But I am optimistic that we will all be back to normal sooner than we think! Lets wash those hands, stay in and watch movies, and stay healthy!! See more

Well at it again, finished re-doing my regular nail lacquer swatches. And after printing out 200 plus labels for them all, I found myself wondering, would it have killed them to name one just "pink"!
