Hello everyone! There is a province-wide burn ban in effect starting tomorrow, April 16. The restrictions include Category 2 and 3 open fires (Anything larger than 0.5m x 0.5m). The ban also includes the use of fireworks, sky lanterns and the use of burn barrels or cases of any size or description. Bella Coola Fire Department is looking for donations of some gym equipment. Mostly looking for dumbbells, weights, and workout bench, but open to all other gym equipment offers. We don't want broken junk, but if it's decent and collecting some dust in your garage, let us know... Help keep your firefighters fit! Thank you =)

A big thank you to everyone who sent food and coffee to our fire crews last week at the BC Packers net loft fire scene, it is very much appreciated! A really huge thank you to our best allies, the Nuxalk Fire Department, with whom we are always proud to stand with. Hi folks, We're just as excited as anyone that Freddy's Restaurant is now open for business and slinging tasty food. We've noticed this has led to a bit of a problem with parking... We are respectfully requesting that people not park in front of the fire hall OR in the lane beside it. It is a working fire hall and we need to have the bay doors and lane clear in case of an emergency. Bella Coola has plenty of street parking, and besides, you can work off your meal with a bit o...f a walk back to your car by parking a little farther down the street rather than in front of the hall. ;) Thanks very much!
