We have over 95 people REGISTERED as of today for the Council of Yukon First Nations 2-day gathering to discuss best practices in child welfare on Monday and Tu...esday (June 4 & 5) at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre. We encourage anyone who works with First Nations children to attend including youth, families, support workers, social workers, foster parents and adoptive parents. Attention Elders & Youth! CYFN will be hosting an Elders Gathering Monday June 4th and a Youth Gathering Tuesday June 5th in Whitehorse to discuss the CYFN Elde...r and Youth Executive positions. CYFN will cover the cost of 1 Elder & Youth from each community to participate. All Elders and Youth are welcome! Katie Johnson is the President of Bella Elite Events & Consulting and a proud and active member of Kluane First Nation. She has worked as a creative visionary, entrepreneur, and producer of Yukon First Nations arts and culture over the past decade, producing numerous acclaimed regional and national events. Katie specializes in delivering creative and innovative communications, and event planning services for First Nations organizations, not-for-profit groups and businesses across the North. Her personal style and grassroots approach to community and stakeholder engagement has helped heightened the profile of Northern art, culture and tourism. Katie is also a proud mother to Bella whom she enjoys taking with her on trips, and spending time on the land with family, community, and Elders in Kluane.
