BELL & BRACE RESPONSE TO COVID-19 Bell & Brace will be under a new protocol to deal with COVID-19. This plan can change at any time as we try to keep pace with keeping ourselves as well as all of you safe, happy, and healthy! - 1 week turn around will be added to each instrument repair... - Current research has found that the virus dies on surfaces after 2 - 4 days, depending on a number of variables. When an instrument is brought it, it will be quarantined for 3-4 days before being repaired. It will be fixed and play tested, and then sit for 3 days before customer is contacted for pick-up. - Tools and surfaces will be cleaned regularly with disinfectant - As always, play tests will be done with shop mouthpieces and reeds. Player mouthpieces and reeds will not be touched. - We will stop accepting instruments for 2 weeks following March Break We appreciate your understanding with the new policy.

MusicFest is coming back to Windsor in a big way

Cleaning brass instruments is important! Heres a trumpet leadpipe thats riddled with the dreaded "red rot". These little pink spots are weakened brass that become holes, so the part needs to be replaced. To prevent, get your instrument chem cleaned once a year if in regular use!
