We have COVID at my home. We’ve been in isolation for 2weeks. Then in shutdown/locked in for the last 2 weeks. On Fri 2 other persons in this home tested positive for COVID.......and on it goes. I am grateful everyone to date has been asymptomatic. No one has developed any of the severe symptoms. We isolate from each other and wear masks 24/7. So now we wait for 14 days to retest to make sure no one else has become infected. I am also grateful for the sunshine as we’ve been able to spend hours outside. This means we won’t be reopening Bell Book & Candle until the end of March or early April......when the Health Unit gives us the A-OK to return to our normal-abnormal life in the COVID-20’s (as opposed to the roaring 20’s of the1920’s ....... a historical reference there!!!!) I will keep you posted here.......

Bell, Book and Candle will continue to be closed until further notice. Our household has been exposed to Covid and we will be going into lockdown. When it is safe for us all, we will return. ... Until then, stay safe!

Bell, Book and Candle will closed for pickup until further notice. We have received another positive Covid confirmation on someone who has been in close contact with our household. I live with 3 vulnerable adults. We have home care personal support persons who are in and out of the house every day. This is the 2nd Covid alert we’ve experienced due to community exposure despite extreme precautions. We are going to get tested again. ... Please be safe!

Just because we are in lockdown dosent meant things aren't happening at the BBC...in process of cleaning up post flood at the beginning of December....once things start shifting here....it becomes very much a domino effect. Every book section will be gone thru for current validity given we are now in the year 2021. A neater cleaner Zen approach...hopefully....

Happy Saturday! We are open. On Monday Barrie will be entering the RED ZONE. This is not a full lock down so we will still be open! We continue to be vigilant and allow only 5 people in at a time. We will be open Wednesday, December 16 from 9:30-4!

Have just unpacked a new order of books, decks, & calendars. I recommend shopping early for Christmas. Suppliers are having some problems filling orders completely. If you see it and love it. Buy it.

Today in Barrie....more one hundred people showed up at the War Memorial. A young girl read the Flanders Fields poem. 2 minutes of silence was observed. Someone played a recorded last post. I spent many years of my life as a Girl Guide freezing during these ceremonies. It was very touching and heartfelt have people turn up to observe the day, despite of covid, to have people respectfully acknowledge the sacrifices men & woman have made to world peace efforts. As Canadians we have much to be grateful for!!!

Some new offerings, the vibrant violet is clear quartz coated in coated in silver & titanium, some new phantom and 1000 layer quartz, grape agate in egg shapes and some lovely rose quartz towers

We had a bit of a flood issue in the BBC. The Eastern religion and psychological sections were recipients of a down pour of water. This is created a need to re arrange a major bookcase....so books on are the perimeter. We dance with COVID, Christmas, limited numbers in store and a flood. We do have this......but it’s going to take some time and some juggling.

Things are way different this year at the BBC for our All Hallows Eve celebrations. No dress ups, no baked goodies with coffee & tea, no fortunes being read But, I’m wearing a nice orange shirt with a black smiley cat on it. We do have a bowl of mini chocolate bars, and lots of good wishes for everyone to keep safe and be safe today, and this evening!

The candles are back in stock for candle season!!!!!! We have the same candle gift line, made in Toronto. As well as a new crystal candle line. Very very nice, both lines.

These are busy times!!! Prepping for winter on all levels, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual ........trying to get stock in, while my suppliers are dealing with their stock still on the oceans. It’s been interesting to say the least. We have celebrated the glorious colours of this autumn. Which were by far one of the best years I’ve ever seen ( and I’ve seen a goodly number). So let us be grateful for the days of sunshine and florescent colours!!!! Regardless, at the BBC, we continue to do our best to keep up with your spiritual and mental health needs as best we can. New stock is arriving...I would suggest shopping early for any December Feasts you plan on celebrating
