My last poll overwhelmingly was a vote for something scary, so here you go! A Hannya is a mask used in Noh theatre to depict female rage and pain. A woman scorned by her lover turns into a Demon; the white demon is one of the most recognizable images. This demon is a woman of more noble standing; a red demon mask represents a woman of lower social standing and a black mask is a full demon. The #hannya has a learing mouth, sharp teeth, metallic eyes (because it is not human) ...and two sharp devil-like horns. The oldest known Hannya mask dates from 1558. The Hannya is a very popular tattoo design and you may recognize it.
