What does a Pediatric Physiotherapy session look like? Its like trying to problem solve with lots of fun! The first session is always an assessment. This includes a detailed question answer session with the child if he or she are old enough to answer the questions or with the childs parent / guardian if the child is too young. Once detailed information is gathered, the physical assessment of the child is done by observing the child move around, respond to their surrounding...s, checking the tone of muscles and several other such factors. Treatment isn't always guaranteed in the initial session which is usually an hour long, just because it is so important to have an excellent idea of what we are dealing with so that we can design the best treatment plan with you. If time allows then it is definitely provided however rushing to the treatment part during initial assessment session might cause missing out on important information about the child which could potentially modify the treatment approach.
