Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm 20.03.2021

Please let me introduce you to our latest addition to our Just Bee Cuz Honey product line, our All Natural Wood Conditioner. We have had a few requests for an all natural furniture product by a few customers that were looking for something that is safe and free from harsh chemicals . Rather than waiting until the new year, I found some time to make a small batch and it’s marvellous. No harsh chemicals are in this product so you can use it on all of your fine wood surfaces even cutting boards. Made with beeswax from our own hives and a mixture of organic plant based oils it will help preserve and protect your wood furniture so that it will retain it’s natural beauty. It’s available at Artisans on 37 just north of Trillium Golf.

All wrapped up for the winter. Contrary to what most people think bees don't hibernate or sleep, they stay awake and alive and stay in their hive for the winter unless the weather is warm enough for a cleansing flight to go #2. The bees stay in clusters for warmth and feed off their honey stores in the hive. They have an upper and lower entrance opening that has been reduced to keep out mice and the cold wind and snow. The upper entrance is important because it allows for air flow and reduces harmful and possibly deadly condensation in the hive.

Added the mouse guards today and noticed there is still a lot of pollen coming into the hives. The clip in the next post shows female workers in a defensive posture trying to prevent a drone from re-entering since it beginning of their eviction period.
