God bless all who are serving the Christmas Day dinner today ... and God bless all who will be enjoying this gift of a lovingly offered meal! A CHRISTMAS PRAYER: Loving Father, help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake. Amen. (Robert Louis Stevenson)

We are all facing unique difficulties and challenges that come with navigating a Pandemic; our Christmas Appeal Campaign is no different. In the coming weeks, our Kettle Campaign will have a new direction... one that we're excited to share with you as soon as we are able! In the mean time, did you know that you can safely and securely donate to us online? All monies donated via this link https://tinyurl.com/BellevilleSA stay within our community to help those in need! #givinghopetoday #strongertogether

Big news! The Salvation Army in Belleville is increasing its capacity to meet growing meal program and food related needs in the community. Our meal program has seen an increase of 82 percent from April to October of this year, said Connie Goodsell, Community and Family Services Director at The Salvation Army. "As we expand our meal program and food bank space, we have also committed to providing the community a hot meal 365 days of the year, to ensure everyone can have acc...ess to a healthy meal every day. In order to expand these services, we have made the decision to not re-open our Thrift Store. In preparation for when Public Health guidelines allow, additional space indoors will be used to provide a warm and supportive environment for those that are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity. Currently, meals are being served with only a take-away option and as winter approaches, some of the most vulnerable in our community will benefit from a warm meal indoors. "We want to thank our amazing staff, volunteers and dedicated Shoppers for all of their years of support and dedication to our mandate. It truly has been a pleasure to serve. "

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." God Bless to all those who have served, or are currently serving. Thank you!
