Parks & Outdoor Spaces | Good news walkers and joggers! By the end of day today, the track at Mary Anne Sills Park will be open to the public. At this time, the track can be accessed through the gate on Palmer Road and Harder Drive. The artificial field (Field #2) has also had spring maintenance completed and is ready to be booked through Recreation, Culture and Community Services. The field can be accessed from the northeast gate. Transit | Mayor Mitch Panciuk and members of the Transit Advisory Committee were pleased to join Transit Operations Manager Paul Buck for a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning to celebrate the arrival of four new NOVA buses into the Belleville Transit fleet. These are the first new buses that the City has received since 2013 and are four of five purchased (for the price of four) with the help of the federal and provincial governments. Announcement | Mayor Mitch Panciuk was pleased to represent the City of Belleville during an exciting announcement from The Hon. MPP Todd Smith at Westgate Lodge Long-Term Care Home this afternoon. The Province of Ontario has committed to building 72 new beds and upgrade 88 existing beds at Westgate.
