We would like to recognize all Beast swimmers who have been working hard and putting up plenty of scorching fast times during practices. We are trying our best to keep everyone motivated through the pandemic and we had quite a bit of fun to finish off 2020. It does not look like we will be back in the water for next month, but we promise to get back to a full training program as soon as we are permitted. The coaches are proud of the athletes’ commitment, effort and accomplishments. Enjoy the holidays!

The pandemic has taken away many racing opportunities for all athletes. After breaking almost every single short course and long course team record as a 10 & Under swimmer, Austin was on track to do the same as an 11-12 athlete. He recently turned 13 and prior to his birthday, Austin was able to grab a couple long course team records at his final meet back in March, but missed out on the rest of the long course season, where it is likely that more records would have fallen. H...e did manage to set multiple short course records early last season, but wasn’t presented the chance to beat many others this fall. Due to COVID-19 not allowing us to race in the beginning of this swim season, we felt it was still important to provide the athletes the opportunity to achieve team records and the only platform we could use was time trials during training, usually at the end of a tough set, or during mock racing at weekend practices. We are pleased to announce that Austin was able to break the following 11-12 short course team records during the month of November, before he aged up: . 50m Freestyle - 27.47 . 100m Freestyle - 1:01.75 . 400m Freestyle - 4:54.48 . 800m Freestyle - 9:53.63 . 1500m Freestyle - 18:59.66 . 50m Backstroke - 31.31 . 100m Backstroke - 1:09.20 . 200m Backstroke - 2:33.58 . 50m Breaststroke - 37.09 . 100m Breaststroke - 1:21.11 . 50m Butterfly - 30.02 . 100m IM - 1:09.15 . 200m IM - 2:33.07 .
