We'd like to recognize, and thank, the South Dorchester Optimists - Lyons for their continued support of our skating club. Thank you South Dorchester Optimists! Always Remembered. #lestweforget Thank you to the brave men and women who serve - yesterday, today and tomorrow.
It’s never too old to learn to ice skate! #comeskatewithus Whether it’s to learn to stop before you hit the boards, find your balance to skate with your kids or shake the rust off your former blades of glory, our adult skating program is geared to helping adults of ALL abilities & ages take to the ice with confidence. The adult learn-to-skate program is held Saturday mornings from 7 to 7:50 a.m. at the Belmont Arena. Lessons start this Saturday, October 10. ... Thanks for your patience! Ready, set....skate!!! We are pleased to be offering the CANSKATE program in levels 2 and 3 in our Junior CANSKATE session, levels 4, 5 and 6 in our Senior CANSKATE session, STARSKATE and the adult skating session. We are unable to offer our very beginning learn to skate CANSKATE levels (pre-CANSKATE and level 1) because our coaches are unable to physically assist/help skaters due infection control measures related to the Pandemic. As you can al...l appreciate, hand holding is a big part of learning to skate! Because we are limited with the numbers of skaters that we can offer for each session, we have opened registration to our returning families. Emails were sent today and if you didn't receive one, please reach out via email or messenger. Once we know numbers of our returning skaters, we will be opening up registration after that time. More information to follow from our COVID team on the user guidelines for the arena, masking, screening - all that good stuff!
Thanks again to all the skaters, coaches and parents who made our skating season such a special one! Checkout the story on our carnival in the The Signpost newspaper this week.
Don't put away your skates just yet! Join in the fun next Sunday thanks to the South Dorchester Optimists - Lyons.
