And that's a wrap on Virtual Camp 2020! We hosted our final banquet tonight where we all got dressed up, ate our suppers together, presented awards to all the lodgers and reminisced about our favourite camp memories! Our Lodgers' Council President, Lee Howchin, also gave a fantastic speech. Then we got to dance the night away at the Virtual Video Dance! Thank you so much to all the lodgers and staff volunteers who attended Virtual Camp over the past 3 months! We loved reading... the story Ricky at Book Club, learning new exercises and dance moves during Belwood Exercises, hanging out, chatting and playing games in Social Hour, laughing and learning at our awesome trivia and bingo sessions, and much more! Plus we hope you loved our youtube videos filmed out at camp. It has been such a joy to spend our summer at Virtual Camp, and we hope to be able to see you again soon! Now last, but certainly not least, we want to thank our fabulous Virtual Camp volunteer, Karen! Karen first came to Camp Belwood last summer as an international staff from Mexico! She is totally hilarious and is always able to find the positive in any situation and make any activity, even brushing your teeth, fun! The lodgers always have such a great time with her, and it's always a blast when she leads a social hour group and gives updates on her life in Mexico during Virtual Camp. Thank you for all your help this summer Karen!!!

While of course we all wish we could be at camp right now, we are so happy to be able to offer our free Virtual Camp to lodgers this summer. It wouldn't be possible without caring volunteers like Jenny! Jenny first came to Belwood as a counsellor in 2016, and last year she was our Cabin Life assistant and helped to coordinate all of the super fun outtrips we go on! Jenny joins in on lots of our live sessions and loves to lead groups during social hour by chatting and playing games so she can stay in touch with our lodgers throughout the summer! Thank you Jenny, we really appreciate your participation!!! Another day, another amazing Virtual Camp volunteer to thank! Today we want to celebrate Kate, who joined Belwood as a counsellor in 2017 and has since become an integral part of the program team. Kate is always super prepared and is ready to do anything and everything that needs to be done to make sure program runs smoothly (but also loves a good rest hour break with the lodgers under the trees!). Let's thank her for leading super fun conversations during social hour at virtual camp, including some great Harry Potter trivia! Thanks Kate!

Let's all give a big Belwood THANK YOU to another very cool Virtual Camp volunteer, Hannah! Hannah started working at camp last summer as part of the kitchen staff and is a super kind person. When she wasn't helping to prepare all of our tasty meals, you could often find her at program with a big smile on her face, helping the lodgers with a craft or dancing along with them in the Rec Hall to the Backstreet Boys and Grease. Hannah has joined us for almost every single live session this summer, and will sometimes even call in during her breaks at work to say hi. Now that's dedication! We are so lucky to have her as a Virtual Camp volunteer!

It's time to thank another one of our fantastic Virtual Camp volunteers, Ryan! Ryan joined Belwood in 2017 and has been an invaluable member of our program team ever since! He has a real talent for getting everyone excited for whatever program is going on, and is always there to encourage and lend a kind word (or a dad joke) to lodgers and staff alike. At virtual camp, he is our game show whiz, hosting BLC-themed Jeopardy and Family Feud games with the lodgers. SURVEY SAYS....RYAN IS AWESOME!!!

As we take a break from our Virtual Camp programming this week, we want to take the time to thank some of our phenomenal Virtual Camp volunteers who always show up with smiling faces at our live zoom sessions, to the delight of all the lodgers! Each day this week we'll spotlight a different volunteer so we can all thank them. We are so incredibly appreciative of each of them, and their dedication to Belwood and the lodgers, we truly couldn't do this without them! First up is ...Lily! Lily joined us last summer as an international staff all the way from England, and all the lodgers loved her immediately. She is an incredibly kind and caring person, and will always go the extra mile to help others and make sure that everyone is included and having fun. Lily hasn't missed a live zoom session all summer (even with the 5 hour time difference!) and the lodgers at virtual camp especially love playing pictionary with her during social hour!
