On behalf of the Ben Calf Robe Pow Wow Committee, we deeply regret breaking a strong tradition to announce the cancellation of our 39th annual Ben Calf Robe Traditional Pow Wow on May 9, 2020, at Clark Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. The much anticipated Pow Wow is traditionally the first Pow Wow in Alberta to kick off the Pow Wow season. This event in the past has attracted thousands of visitors and participants. In this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, we recognize the important steps being taken to protect the health of our elders, families, children, participants, community, workers, vendors, and guest. The committee does not intend to reschedule this year’s event but will continue to plan for the 40th Anniversary of the Ben Calf Robe Traditional Pow Wow, so please, mark your calendars for Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Edmonton, Alberta. We thank our partners: Ben Calf Robe Society and the City of Edmonton, our community and guests as we keep our circle strong in this time of uncertainty.
