Tis the fence building season! Here is another one where the moral of the story is get the survey done! This perfectly staked line was between two homes in town with beautifully manicured yards, only this time it wasnt a fence offline, it is the sprinkler manifold box that all of the sprinklers zones originate from. In case you havent guessed, it belongs to the yard to the left in this photo. This is going to have to be moved before the new fence goes up. Do the math. A quick call to an Alberta Land Surveyor would have avoided a lot of headache and expense. 403-995-7737

People often try and save money by not getting a survey done before building their fence. Weve seen it too many times in both the city and in the country where people end up having to get the survey done anyway and then have to build a fence twice. More often then not this also causes a lasting dispute between the neighbours. This photo is from a job we did yesterday. This two-year-old fence is a half mile long and is about 3m (10 ft) offline. #fencebuilding #propertyline #goodfencesmakegoodneighbors
