DID YOU KNOW? Very interesting read about Calgary, it's all a matter of geography! "Key to our future as a city, new construction and how we interact with each other will be a better understanding of how we use our geography to connect rather than divide us." http://www.cbc.ca//calgary-geography-puppet-master-1.33408

High School Apprentice program

Benchmark Interiors Ltd. Calgary AB 17.01.2021

DID YOU KNOW? That High School Students Can Learn the Trades in Calgary... The Calgary dual-credit carpentry program began in February, is a joint initiative between the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), the Calgary Catholic School District, the Calgary Construction Association (CCA) and SAIT. This program offers high-school students 240 hours of hands-on skill development, in residential building. The students participate in 135 hours of classroom instruction, and study sit...e safety and blueprint reading. These students are completing the same curriculum as adults registered in SAIT's full-time, pre-employment carpenter program, which has a 95 per cent employment rate. Upon completion, graduates earn 15 high school credits as well as a Pre-Employment Certificate. Such opportunities gives students an advantage and Alberta is going to need this kind of labour to grow as a province. Benchmark Interiors is happy to give a "thumbs up" for such an endeavour!
