Rock On

Lab(radorite) Air. Wings and tails cut from 900 million year old anorthosite with flecks of blue and yellow labradorite from the Indian Head Range near Stephenville. The precambrian IHR represents the oldest rocks on the Island portion of the province ranging from 900 million to 1.2 billion years old. Both fuselages are cut from Ordovician era (~480 ma) limestone from the Port au Port Peninsula. The base is red sandstone from the mouth of Robinsons River.
