The heat and dry weather really made the meadow flower. It has become just what I had tried to create. A Fundy Shore mug White wild flowers and variegated Miscanthus. Rudbeckia and Queen Anne's lace. Monarda fistulosa. The bees and I were both enthralled!... Rudbeckia laciniata near the studio The studio from the street Self seeded Rudbeckia. Great colours! See more

In the autumn I had posted a series of 'days of joy' images. I thought I had shared them here, but apparently not. I'll do it now. It gives you a peek at the nursery property. Ragged Robin grows in sweeps along the edge of the pond. A saucy crow fresh out of the kiln. My yellow lady slipper in flower in the woodland garden. A pottery poppy blooms along with the others. It's a new year and I can't tell you how grateful I am for that! I've been cleaning the studio for a week after the busy fall and Christmas season. Another few days and I'll be content with it. I'll show you what has been happening. I have started using water colour underglazes with leaf impressions and am quite happy with the results. I made a series of Santas, but everyone calls them wizards. I guess Santa must always wear red! The very first snowfall - all of 3 cm, made the studio look lovely.
