The Trustees of two closed a Long Term Disability Plans (1993 & 2003) for employees of McGill University are in the process of winding up the trusts. There is a small surplus in each of the trusts which has been distributed or in the case of the 1993 trust, will be distributed to eligible recipients. As such, the University is in the process of contacting all eligible former employees who were members of these Plans as at December 31, 1993 and December 31, 2003. Eligible memb...ers will be asked to confirm that the information on file is current or to update contact information as required. In order to enable the distribution of funds to which you may be entitled to, you may be asked to confirm personal information held on file as part of the process to authenticate your identity. If you have already been contacted and information has been verified, the payout of the surplus will take place in 2019. Il subsiste un petit surplus dans les fiducies qui sera distribué aux participants admissibles. À ce titre, l’Université communique actuellement avec tous les employés anciens admissibles, qui participaient au régime au 31 décembre 1993 et au 31 décembre 2003 afin de confirmer leur adresse postale actuelle. Si vous étiez un tel participant, nous vous demanderons de confirmer les informations à votre dossier, de fournir vos nouvelles coordonnées et confirmer vos dates d’emploi afin permettre la distribution des fonds auxquels vous avez droit. Une fois que les informations sont confirmés, le versement de l’excédent sera fait en 2019.
