Last year our line cook, Shelly, took it upon herself to make soup at home and distribute it to people downtown who are in need. This motivated us to give back... also, especially this year with so many people struggling. Sous Chef Ryan cooked up one of our favourites! Twenty litres of homemade Tomato Parmesan soup was delivered this morning plus takeout containers, lids and spoons to One Roof Peterborough on Brock street. Their mission is to nurture a community that challenges homelessness, food insecurity, and social exclusion in Peterborough by responding to immediate needs, breaking down barriers amongst us and advocating for systemic change.
