We’re taking another step to protect the iconic Southern Resident Killer Whales off of Canada’s Pacific Coast. A new Marine Mammal Desk in Sidney, #BC will monitor the ocean for whales to alert vessels and mariners in real time to better prevent strikes and entanglements. #SRKW https://www.canada.ca//canadian-coast-guard-opens-the-firs ..... Nous prenons une autre mesure pour protéger l’emblématique épaulard résident du Sud au large de la côte du Pacifique du Canada. Love seeing these pictures from our #GhostGear Fund partners in Atlantic Canada. This is what 3.2km of rope & 63 tonnes of lost gear looks like! Can’t wait to see what our teams on the west coast retrieve.
