Dear Bernardo Karate members and families. Starting Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021: The Ontario Government is requiring patrons of non-essential businesses (su...ch as gyms, restaurants, sports venues, martial arts studios) to be fully vaccinated and provide Government issued photo I.D. and proof of vaccination (or proof of being entitled to another exemption). Nothing will change for members under the age of 18 (there is an exemption for youth recreational indoor organized sports that martial arts falls under). Visit the Ministry of Health website for more details. All other members, parents, guardians and spectators will need to comply. For the time being we still need to follow all of our regular safety protocols (pre-screening, temperature check, masks, distancing, hand sanitizing) and our Calendly online sign up for Cardio kickboxing classes (Oxford Studio only). Exciting news All of our Bernardo Karate locations will be reopening as of Tuesday, February 16th!! ... Strict protocols are in place. The health and safety of our members is our number one priority. We are committed to maintaining the highest level of cleanliness possible as our operations return to normal. Please familiarize yourself with information on our website with all the steps you need to take before arriving. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we update our website with our karate, cardio kickboxing, calendly, zoom schedules and links. We are getting numerous calls today asking if we are open. With kids being allowed back at school you would think all businesses would be reopening as well. ...First off, we would love to be open and operating in-person classes. Unfortunately our Government has not set a timetable as to when businesses can reopen. We are keeping our fingers crossed and are hoping for next week.
