Ever wonder about your maple syrup coming out of a tree?! When tapping a tree for syrup. You created a hole which draws the syrup when running down the tree in the spring time.. when you make a hole in the tree without filling with a wooden dowel at the end of the run you then let air into the tree which then changes white lumber to brown lumber. Created brown streaks in the lumber.

After you buy the tree, harvest the tree. Truck the logs. Debark the tree you need to remove the slabs off the logs to then be able to start sawing lumber !

70% of our lumber is sold to our sister company South Bruce Flooring we saw 78% 4/4 lumber. However we have to saw thick lumber out of ever species which is then use for products such as stair stringers, hand railing, bull nose, crown moulding, stair treads, doors, that way South Bruce Flooring can sell you the same species for everything if desired

This is one of our multiple job sites from the winter that we pile road side for the break up season for when conditions are unacceptable for logging. These actions being taken let’s our sawmill production keep rolling!
