Today is the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day to honour the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit survivors of Residential Schools and commemorate those who did not return.

Election campaigns are never easy, and this one has been the hardest I have ever been involved with. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we campaign and the policy issues that all parties put forward. I am proud of the platform that Canada's Conservatives put forward and the campaign that my team and I ran in Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas. Congratulations to Filomena Tassi on her re-election. I wish her the best of luck in the upcoming Parliament. Though we fundamental...ly disagree on many issues, we both want what is best for Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas and for Canada. I also wish the best of luck to all of my fellow Conservative Candidates who won their ridings and will soon take their seats in the House of Commons. I know that you will be a formidable opposition and government-in-waiting. To everyone who voted for me in this election, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support means so much and I'm blessed to have had it. I also want to thank my incredible campaign team, Scott, Arthur, Jen, Ed, Doug, Michael, and all of the amazing volunteers who helped doorknock, make phone calls, install signs, and every other task that is needed to run an election campaign. I could not have managed without you all. I would be remiss if I did not also thank my beautiful wife Joanna and our two girls Kylie and Iyla, who have been so supportive and patient during my candidacy. I love you all so much.
