There are so many things to talk about in the Safety and Security industry these days. I was reading a story in the Canadian Security magazine online version about a company that is looking forward to promoting and streamlining the cooperation between the private law enforcement community and the public law enforcement community. I found this to be extremely disturbing for many reasons. If this is the direction that is going to be followed there are some immediate things that... come to mind that are going to become problems over time and I think it necessary to bring this information out into the open now so that it can be reviewed and discussed by the key players in the industry and hopefully a appropriate decision can be arrived at as to whether or not it is a good idea to try to even have these two separate and diverse ways of performing law enforcement come together in a cooperative way one serving the others interests during the course of the law enforcement duties and responsibilities. I would be happy to hear back from anyone about how you feel in regards to bringing private law enforcement and public law enforcement closer together in the way they collect information process crime scenes conduct investigations and so on. Please feel free to leave your remarks and comments so this can be talked about out in the open and we can get a consensus on what is the best direction to head in. See more

The questions were straightforward and required a basic yes or no answer. I was utterly appalled at the doctors evasi...Continue reading

Having your hand always resting on your firearm is a safety principle that has several critical reasons attached to it. It is necessary to understand the time it takes for a person to pull the firearm out of its holster and actually bring it up into the aiming position towards your threat and then actually pulling the ...Continue reading

During the last several months police conduct has come under scrutiny from the media across North America. This post will look into a common observation by the public regarding the appearance of the police always having a hand on their firearm. Several media channels seem to have gone out of their way to select video which is confrontational and heated and it involves a police officer and a member of the community during an incident in which the police have either been called...Continue reading
