Hello to everyone who is or has been a customer of Best Computers in Exeter. As you have likely heard, on Friday afternoon Feb 6 2015 a fire started in one of the residential units above our retail store at 429 Main St. We do not own the building thank goodness but it will likely be a total write-off. Bill was able to get out fine and there were no injuries. While we did not have any fire damage we did suffer a huge amount of smoke and water damage. With much thanks to ...Mike Hansen and the other firefighters as well as Mel and my dad Ken, they were able to get a few important things out on Sunday. Our server and several customer systems were removed. I was on vacation in Cuba on Friday and did not get back to see the damage until Tuesday morning. What better way to get bad news than by the pool in paradise but what a shock come Tuesday. We have been going through the recovered systems and getting our own data back working and I appreciate your understanding during this disruption. Our 235-3430 number is being checked now for messages regularly but Bell can not forward our number unless we can do *72 from the premises which is obviously not possible. Many of you have contacted me via cell, text, email or Facebook as well. Thank you for all of the support. We are currently ordering replacement items and systems as needed and can be reached any time. Onsite and remote service is still ongoing and we will try to have a physical location going again soon.
