REMINDER!! Don't miss the UTDL 2021 Designathon! How can you get a 3D Printer delivered to your door, you ask ... Join the UTDL Designathon to choose one of three design problems with your team, use CAD modelling, simulations or at-home prototyping to showcase your solution that addresses the problem, then you are set to have a pretty good chance of winning . The questions will focus on mechanical and hardware aspects , but will allow you to integrate multiple engineering disciplines in your solution if you want such that you can join no matter your background . REMINDER: The deadline to register is tomorrow!!! If you're looking to use your creativity and design skills to come up with effective solutions to current problems, or for a way to enhance your resume, you've come to the right place! This year's design competition is open to undergraduate students and is focusing on two topics:... 1 a) Storage of the COVID-19 vaccine 1b) Transportation of the COVID-19 vaccine 2) The Flint Michigan Water Crisis Students are required to form teams of up to 4 people and develop a design solution to one of the two aforementioned topics. Detailed problem statements will be provided to the teams prior to the start of the competition. Teams will have 2 weeks (until January 31st) to develop and submit their designs for evaluation to our panel of judges which will consist of professors and graduate students. The winning team will receive $250, with cash prizes for the teams that come second and third as well. Only ONE member per team is required to sign up on our Eventbrite page which requires a $20 registration fee. This fee is only to hold your place and will be fully reimbursed when the competition starts. Once you've purchased a ticket, please sign up all members of your team on the google sheet.
