How is Bethel responding to Covid-19? The Elders and Council of Bethel met on Friday evening to consider what blessing our neighbours and serving our congregation and community looks like in light of the global Covid-19 pandemic. We had Anita Cressman (Nurse Practitioner) join us to bring us up to date on what is happening in Waterloo Region relating to the Covid-19 virus and answer questions we have concerning it.... As we have all heard, there are many cancellations in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus. One of the main points of consideration for the Elders and Council was the question of whether or not we should have public meetings. While we do not want to feed into the fear that seems to be gripping many, we do want to cooperate with the attempts to contain the virus. After deliberation it was decided that Bethel Church would suspend public services for Sunday March 15 and Sunday March 22 and that Small Groups, Kids Klub, and Youth programs would be suspended until March 28. Following that we will assess on a week by week basis as we receive updated medical information. It had been decided earlier in the day that we would postpone our March Break Camp for which we have set a tentative date of June 13 & 14. We will follow up on this email with some directions regarding resources that we will make available for you as we seek to be connected. Due to the quickly moving situation with the covid-19 virus and our desire to do our part to help contain the spread of the virus, our March Break Camp has been postponed to a later date.

The New Dundee Ministerial presents our annual community Good Friday Service. Friday April 10th at 10AM. A family friendly service at Bethel Church. We hope that you can join us.
