Lettuce not just got salads anymore. It’s time to get creative. I have learned, after years Of bloated bellies and morning pains, as well as, a constant battle to lose my belly fat. That I cannot digest bread very well. It took a long time to figure out and endless days/weeks of denial to accept that my digestive system and bread were not friends. So now I have started to get creative with eating and lettuce has been a great help. ... Lettuce has now become my bread when I want to have a sandwich. It is durable and water resistant. Holds its shape and adds a great crunch to the experience. Not to mention the high dose of fibre and vitamins that I get with each bite. I am not trying to be trendy or follow a fad. I have just started listening to my digestive system. Accepting change. And experimenting with new combos. No more denial feelings. Suggested lettuces: Romaine Butter Bib Boston Collard greens Have you tried lettuce wraps? Or sandwich toppers with lettuce? Let me know your favourite creative lettuce use. #lettuce #IBS #digestiveissues #listentoyourbody
