Hi All, As I read through the WorkSafeBC protocols, I can see that things will be quite different. A quick overview of some of the new expectations:... If a client has a fever or any signs of illness, the appointment must be rescheduled. Clients must use provided hand sanitizer before entering the spa. The esthetician must wear disposable mask, gloves, and apron. All clients will be required to wear a mask upon entering the spa. Some may be required to wear gloves. If a clients chooses to handle their phone/tablet/electronic device, it will be cleaned with a disinfectant wipe upon entering the spa. Any services that require masks to be removed cannot be performed. (ie facials, lower facial waxing) Clients must be kept at least 2 metres apart from one another. Please don't arrive too early. Clients may not bring guests, pets, or children to their appointments. Caregivers/escorts may drop a client off, but may not stay. Until further notice, no side by side or group services may be performed, unless there is physical distancing room. Clients are encouraged to use the tap function on the point of sale machine, and to avoid cash when possible. These are just a few of the requirements. I'll inform individual clients of the rest, as needed. It's up to all of us to take this very seriously. It's the only way to stay safe, healthy, and open for business. Getting all schooled up on new safety practices. WorkSafe has just released their PSE protocols. The website is so busy, I can't get into it, but at least there are measures in place. :)

Hey everyone! I'm going to be optimistic, and start booking clients in June. I'll be booking on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. This will make it easier to rebook at a later date if the gov't chooses to extend the current shut down beyond May 31. In the meantime, I'm taking certification courses in santization to ensure best and safest practices when I do reopen. Things will be a bit different for a little while. But it will be good to get back to doing what I love and miss.

Hi everyone, As a personal care establishment, I am held to very strict standards of cleanliness by Fraser Health Authority. I'm taking extra precautions during this time, and am currently staying open, as FH has not requested personal care establishments to close. However, if you have an appointment and feel the need to cancel or rebook, I completely understand. If you feel sick or have flu-like symptoms, or have been traveling, please let me know asap so we can rebook.... It's going to be inconvenient and potentially financially painful for all of us, but we can get through.
