November is Financial Literacy month. How can I add value to you on this subject? Financial literacy is certainly an important topic and drawing attention to the need to considerably improving financial knowledge and awareness in our society is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to uplifting the 50% of workers living pay-check to pay-check and the 80% (EIGHTY PERCENT) of the population with less than $50,000 in assets. It's the one month where truckloads of mon...ey is thrown at the subject, but how effective is this? I have not seen where there are any plans for a permanent fix for the knowledge gap through the education system. The other observation I have is that a large percentage of the money being thrown around in November miss the target. Let us start a conversation. How can the financial services industry bring awareness effectively, while lobbying government entities to make financial knowledge a part of the education process from kindergarten through high school?
