If you use the Trailforks app and are looking to get the discount price before it expires you only have a few days left. It come to $18 a year. Totally worth it if you ride in multiple areas.

Some rides have better views than others. Don't forget to stop and look around every once in a while.

Have you ever tried spin? Its a blast and a great way to help you prep for all those races that just got cancelled! My friend Rolanda is running virtual classes if you want to give it a go. She has contagious energy and will make you smile, great for those rainy days like today.

Due to current situations, we have decided to hold off on group lessons for the time being. We are trying to limit the size of our groups and keep groups together that are already in contact with each other. Because of this, we have decided to offer private and semi-private lessons for the summer. (Maximum 4 people) To book a lesson, call 250-619-0925.

As we enter month 2 of social distancing, there is a lot of concern and confusion about mountain biking in groups and lessons. Can I ride in the trails, are they open? Can I ride in a group if I keep my distance? Can I ride with people not in my household? I am not an expert on everything that is going on, I only know what I have heard Dr. Bonny Henry say. Get fresh air, it is good for your mental heath. The chance of spreading COVID-19 outdoors is low as it is susceptible ...to UV. Keep your distance (2 meters or more) and be respectful of others on the trail. If you are sick or have any symptoms, STAY HOME. As of right now, trails remain open and you are encouraged to get fresh air. If you can, try to ride with immediate members of your family or small groups and keep your distance for their safety and yours. Beyond Biking has chosen to pause all lessons until we have more information. Yes, we can keep our distance from each other, and I can limit lesson sizes but when you are learning new skills you do take the risk of crashing while pushing your boundaries. We will resume lessons and group rides as soon as we are able but if you need help please reach out to us. In the meantime, please remember to use common sense when going out to the trails. Ride in less crowded areas. If you get to Westwood Lake and the parking lot is full, go somewhere else and try new trails. Do not use this time chasing KOM’s or trying dangerous tricks such as learning to jump. This will increase your chance of ending up in the emergency room and you do not want to be there if you can avoid it. Do not shuttle up the hill with your crew. Use this time to work on your cardio and earn your turns. Be respectful of others on the trail, everyone is doing their best. Keep your eyes open for upcoming videos with mountain biking tips. Remember, this will pass, and we will ride together soon. Stay Safe See more

We are super excited to offer a few new classes this year! First up is "Descend Like a Boss" on March 8th with Grant. Go downhill fast. Or slow. Your choice! This course is for you if you want to gain confidence on steep descents and find your flow. We will go over body position and adjusting and controlling your speed on steeper terrain. You will learn how to be in full control of your bike without skidding, as well as how to scan the trail and pick your line at multiple sp...eeds. The course also includes traction control and pumping with the opportunity to play on different terrains. Register at http://www.beyondbiking.ca/product/descend-like-a-boss/
