Dear Club families in our East Dartmouth and Sackville Club locations: Today, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health made reference to recreation centres as spaces that will temporarily close as part of ongoing COVID-19 risk management. We can confirm that Boys and Girls Club programs can still continue at the East Dartmouth Community Centre and the Sackville Heights Community Centre. No other groups will be using those centres for the next two weeks, however, your child’s after school program will continue at these locations. The gym in both centres will be off-limits for the next two weeks, but otherwise, our programs will run as usual. All of our in-Club programs at all of our sites continue to operate. Thank you!
Last week our East Dartmouth after school program kids delivered Remembrance Day crafts, cards, and letters to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 160 in Dartmouth to thank them for their service.
We still have a few after school program spaces available at our Cole Harbour site located at 50 Ritcey Crescent. The Cole Harbour site serves children who attend Col John Stuart and Bois Joli Elementary schools (Primary through grade 6). You can register or find out more by contacting our Administration Lead, Lisa at [email protected] or checking out our registration site: https://ca.apm.activecommunities.com/bg/Activity_Search/441

Ivalena Willis is a former Dartmouth North Club kid who has returned to work for us as our Breakfast Program Coordinator! "The Club is very family oriented. When I came here, Sylvia and Lillian (long-serving staff at the Club) were like mother figures to me. It didn’t matter what your background was, everyone was treated equally. It’s safe haven for the youth. I thank the Boys and Girls Club for directing me towards working with kids. It’s a good sign that I’m back!
