Someone asked me yesterday, what is remarketing and how does it work? So, here you go folks Remarketing - also called behavioural retargeting - is a form of digital advertising in which an ad is targeted to consumers based on their previous behaviour on the internet. So when you’re on a website looking at a new pair of shoes and then you start seeing that shoe ad on every social media channel or website... that’s remarketing The answer to how it works is way too lo...ng for a post (blog time here I come!) but the short answer is this: advertisers can add a piece of code, known as a tag or a pixel, to their website so visitors can get added to remarketing audiences via browser cookies. Remarketing can get expensive but it is effective. Return website visitors can increase by up to 50% and conversions on average increase by 30%. That’s huge. Questions? DM me! Side note: shout out to @thehomenarrative for helping me simplify my home office #wednesdaywisdom #remarketing #digitalmarketing See more

The biggest COVID-induced change in my work schedule has been my hours. I’ve been starting my work days around 7am to get started before any meetings/calls (for this nighthawk it’s a big deal) Kicked today off with writing a press release for a super big announcement coming out this month. Writing in silence with a nice, hot coffee - is there anything better?! Anyone else up at the crack of dawn getting a start on the day? ... #theearlybirdgetstheworm #publicrelationslife See more

When COVID hit I decided to use my extra time at home in isolation to focus on work and my health. The work side of this has resulted in taking online courses, reading a lot, having lunch chats with brilliant minds, and setting new goals. The rest of 2020 looks something like this: Marketing plans for new product launch ... Podcast launch - 2, actually Writing portfolio expansion Social strategies Marketing seminars PR and thought leadership strategies There’s no time like the present! #lovewhatyoudo #dowhatyoulove #digitalmarketer #prmaven See more

I’ve been working in digital marketing for almost 13 years, wow. I was fortunate to have a marketing guru take me under his wing before I was even done school. My first real taste of technical SEO was with Eugene Roman, former CTO at OpenText. I had a weirdly amazingly unique experience of working directly with him and the engineering team. My biggest task was analyzing a crawl report for our entire site and providing technical recommendations. What a learning experience t...hat was! Today’s vibe: whatever your goals are, work hard and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Just picked up this book to re-read. Any SEO nerds out there? Message me!

I've worked with Taylor, the lead singer of Sierra Pilot for years now - working with talented musicians who are also great people is an absolute pleasure. The band's latest single is my favourite!! Check it out: https://spoti.fi/3fX8m7I

I know we are all handling our time at home differently. I've been up and down with working on my 2020 goals, wanting to nap and drinking more wine than normal I cleaned out my home office and organized my books and notebooks. Among them, my Advanced SEO textbook. So in the spirit of #WednesdayWisdom here are my top 3 advanced SEO tips: 1Learn what your audience wants. So, how do you get relevant data about your user's interests? One way to find out is through social ...listening platforms. I like to use @quora when I tackle this. 2Use internal deep linking, the practice of using anchor text to link to other pages inside your blog. This shows Google the depth of your site’s pages and encourages it to index more of them (see blog in my bio link for details). 3Optimize your landing pages. Simply put, don't send every user to your homepage. The content in your ad, social media post, or blog post should reflect the landing page your user will click-through to. I've written a blog providing further detail on these items above: beccagrieb.com/blog/advanced-seo See more

Anxiety is high these days and to be honest I don’t know what to share other than total honesty so that’s how I’m feeling in a nutshell, folks. My mom works in healthcare, my husband is a first responder... it’s a lot. I’ve been chatting with my girl @justjenniferpascoe and lately she has been reminding me to focus on the good. Name 3 things you are grateful for. It’s such a good practice to take a moment in the morning or at the end of the day. Identify the things, ...big or small that you are grateful for to stay grounded and calm(ish). Today I am grateful for fresh air, video chats with my bestie, and the health care workers around the globe. Spread the love and gratitude... what are you grateful for? See more

With a bunch of things happening and many projects to work on I've started prioritizing one day a week strictly to content planning and creation. Why? Content should be top priority in your marketing strategy because it drives the how and why behind every other tool you use to reach your online audience. Content creation for me at a high level looks like this: Graphics Photos ... Blogs Case Studies Videos and the latest... scripts and audio recordings for podcasts! See more

In March 2015 I was contacted by a young musician - Taylor Leith - and his team about helping to develop a brand for his band. Five years later we have moved from "developing a brand" into a working on everything marketing communications together - PR, social media, Spotify, SEO, branding, merch, shows and more. He has opened for some successful names in the industry including I Mother Earth and Adam Gontier. It's a pleasure to work with Taylor and watch him grow! Oh hey, Wednesday Wisdom! A simple, high-level strategy to implement into your PR planning right away is the 1*3 rule. For every storyline you have to pitch, you need to develop 3 different angles and as a result, 3 different types of media to receive the pitch. For example, if you are a CBD food brand and are announcing a new product, you could develop 3 angles for pitching: 1) relationships 2) money 3) health. By expanding the potential audiences and themes in the pitch you significantly increase your likelihood of securing media coverage Shout out to Steve Young for being my Insta model and Tim Muza for capturing my moments
