Creative Director and Graphic Designer Matt Paquette will be chatting with us about his experiences in making games as part of our GameTALK series. This talk will take place via Zoom on Thursday, Nov. 5th, from 7-8:30pm. A graphic designer with over 20 years of experience, Matt Paquette spent most of the last decade honing his skills at the museums in his hometown of Ottawa, Ontario, before making the jump to tabletop games. Now, with over 40 board game credits to his name, ...Matt is one of the most sought-after graphic designers in the industry. Matt is known for his penchant for typography and lettering. He strives to create strong identity and brand consistency in his work. If you are a member of the Laurier community and you would like to play the O-Week orientation games made by our game design students and alumni, you can now do... so. They were designed as small group experiences, so you can gather some family or friends via video chat, or you can play them by yourself. Only one of you needs to be a Laurier community member with access to MyLearningSpace. To play, visit "Self-Registration" in MyLearningSpace and look for TheLaurierWayGames . (If you are not a Laurier community member, you'll have to wait; I plan to write an article all about the games once the dust settles...)
