The Casino in action with new aluminum bridge...

Just upgraded the bridge to aluminum on this Epiphone Casino. Had to pull out the post studs,fill in the holes and re-drill for the new size post stud. Kept the brass saddles from the old zinc bridge that was on it and now its much livlier and sustains forever.

Me: Check this out hun...do you like this guitar? Wife: The pickups are ugly, I like the other ones better. Me: Other ones? Wife : Ya, the humdingers or whatever .

Just about done this Tele Project and its playing real nicely.I put some really hot pickups in it for now, but that’ll likely change over time. An SD Quarter Pound in the bridge and a Texas Special in the neck. Its kind of an odd combo but the middle position is really big n full. The bridge alone has a really quacky p90 vibe.

This nylon string Cort was sent to me from North Bay after another shop deemed it unrepairable. I happily reattached the bridge, buffed out the finished cracks, repaired the pickups string balance issues, cleaned it up and lowered the action. Sent it back,better than new, to a happy customer.

Finally got around to working on this project last night. For weeks I’ve been periodically staining and oiling the body. This is the first time I made my own custom color using dies and I like the way it turned out, it matches the tint of the neck and the evo gold fret wire nicely. Strung it up pre-electronics to make some final adjustments and it sounds lively and resonant, a nice light 4.3 lbs alder body.
