Hope everyone is doing well in coping with this challenging situation. As you all know, we have started a fundraising campaign (in collaboration with BGSS McGill) for the people who need financial help in Bangladesh, and many of you have generously donated to the cause. The BGSA and BGSS executives would like to thank you all for the donation. We also want to share with you the things that we have done so far with your contributions. What we did so far: As of today, we have ...raised around 2300 CAD. We have spent around 1200 CAD of that money on buying food supplies of more than 250 families for 7 days in two different locations: Gazipur and Dinajpur. We appreciate the efforts of the volunteers who have done an incredible job in both locations. A big shout out to our volunteers back home and BGSS McGill for an excellent collaboration. What is our next plan: We are now in the process of finalizing a different location to send our next donation. In addition, after our successful stint in Gazipur and Dinajpur, a local charity foundation from Montreal (https://www.facebook.com/1dollarinitiative/) has shown interest in getting involved with us in raising more money. We have accepted their collaboration for this noble cause. We will keep everyone posted. We request everyone to donate and keep sharing our funding page with your friends.
