The event brings together teachers, scientists, governments, and organizations to share what we know about the brain, and to promote brain health in all of us. Brain Injury Association of Niagara serves individuals living with concussion and brain injury. Why do we celebrate Family Day? Family Day is a time set aside to focus on getting closer to your loved ones. This year, we have to get creative. Try sending an email to let someone know you’re thinking about them, draw a family portrait, mail a letter, write out a gratitude list of all the things you’re thankful for, call someone on the phone or look through an old photo album. There’s plenty of ways we can still celebrate family from home. At BIAN, we certainly have becom...e a family, all with our own strengths and talents. To spend it safely, we are apart, but with a group like this we know we’re not alone! #BIANstrong

Funded in part by the Government of Canada, this site brings together evidence-based information to help individuals, families/caregivers and healthcare providers navigate the complexities of brain injury and ensure information is available to everyone, no matter where they live in Canada. Built with accessibility in mind, this site does not look like other sites. It does not use a lot of images or scrolling features, as they can be visually stressful for those with brain in...jury. This site focuses on the content and how it can be navigated in the most accessible way possible. We know there will always need to be room for improvement, so this is a living site and we will be adding, reviewing and updating content, as well as seeking user feedback frequently to ensure we are keeping on top of the user experience. This site is intended as an on-going resource for people to use and a tool for collaboration for all. In the coming months, will be adding an expanded mental health section, more videos, webinars, and educational resources. The French version of the site will be launched in December 2020. Have a look!
