Virtual Entry Level Officials Course Opportunity! Below are details regarding this course: Dates: Saturday, March 27 & Sunday, March 28, 2021 ... Duration: 3 hour sessions each day (breaks built in to these 3 hour sessions) Start Time: 1:00pm AST Cost: No charge to participants Language: English Total # Participants: 12 Contact: Jylene Ryan, Officials Chair, Biathlon Nova Scotia to express an interest in training at [email protected] Note: This is a national training opportunity and spaces are limited. Final selections will be made by Biathlon Canada. Participant Requirements: Participants in the course must meet the following requirements: Be a registered member of Biathlon Canada Be available for the entire duration of the online course Have the required technology to participate in the course (computer, internet access, microphone, webcam, speakers) Be a minimum of 15 years of age No experience as an official is required to take this course

Oh Nova Scotia weather, we love you and we hate you. Tonight was a very chilly rollerskiing evening for the few that made it out, but I guess not chilly enough to be on the snow. Oh well, we will take what we can get in our home province

Making room for the new air rifle range at McDonald Sports Park in Waverley. This will be the home of our Biathlon Bears program as well as a place for our competitive team to train until we get a new 50m range up and running.

What did you do when the snow started yesterday? Well if you are anything like out junior athlete Paige, you might have got a parent to make a course for you in the backyard! ‘I used a lawn roller to flatten a course and it worked out pretty good’ says Paige’s father.... Never underestimate a biathlete’s will to get on skis the second they see snow!
