We’d like you to meet our Surrey Central franchisee, Rob. Rob loves food. He graduated from culinary school in 1998 and has been working in the restaurant industry ever since. Rob showed his talents in fine dining restaurants in Toronto, Whistler, and Metro Vancouver, where he was the head chef at the River Rock Casino's fine dining restaurant, Tramonto. In 2014, Rob,and his future wife Tammy, moved from Vancouver to New Westminster where new friends highly recommended a ne...w local sandwich shop called Big Star. Tammy loved it so much, the staff there fed her throughout her first pregnancy! Tired of working long and late hours, Rob was looking for a new career challenge, but something within the restaurant industry. Rob learned that Big Star Sandwich Company was looking for dedicated sandwich lovers to open new locations. Rob and Tammy were excited for the opportunity to own and operate a small business that was locally grown and committed to high quality.
