The BCC now has chili as well as soup. Both meat and vegetarian chilis are available. Still $5. This is a BCC fundraiser.

This episode of Striking Balance is about diminishing yellow perch on Lac Saint-Pierre due to deteriorating water quality and is a good example of how we affect water quality and what can be done to correct it. For us, this includes planting a buffer of vegetation along your shoreline similar to what we learned in our shoreline gardens workshop a few years ago.

Sad news - we've lost a friend and neighbour, Peter Bucci. Many of the children will know Peter's work even if they didn't know how hard he worked behind the scenes to make the Regatta special.

Please try and remember to pick up after your dog and take the bags home for disposal. It's not pleasant for someone else to have to do that. We're thankful that so many people pick up garbage in the neighbourhood. I picked up a bag of assorted bottles and cans a couple of days ago so soon after we had our neighbourhood road cleanup.

The Bobcaygeon Skating Club is committed to providing skating for local children even if it requires travel to use the Fenelon Falls Community Center. Our fund...raising for the 2020/2021 season includes a COVID friendly Wooden Sign Kit which provides a fun, easy, decorative craft with all necessary supplies and instructions so you can do it at home. They make great Christmas gift ideas as well! The kits are $35 and can be ordered online and pick up or delivery arrangements can be made with our Executive. The kits are professionally put together by Red Roof Designs. Our little club would appreciate your support as we try to keep registration costs down and cover ice costs.
