Local artist, Jill Andress @jill.andress.art_and_soul decided to support our agency with an artistic twist this year. She created an original piece titled Shine Bright to raise funds for our Giving Tree initiative that her and her family have helped out with for years now. Additionally she made 30 prints ( 30$ each ). The original has already sold and we only have 12 prints remain...ing! All proceeds go to BBBS! 2020 has been tough on everyone but today we reflect on the amazing memories and accomplishments of the year! We are so grateful for our Big Brothers and Sisters for getting creative to keep their connections intact through the pandemic. We are amazed by our community members who found ways to support us in a year where our major fundraisers could not take place. Most importantly, we are so proud of the BBBS kids. They’ve adapted and worked hard to stay connected. The...y’ve respected our rules for safe visits and participated in our virtual programming. We miss seeing you all together at the office and on outings and we can’t wait for the day we can all be together again!! The team at BBBSLG wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! We appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know. Our office will be closed Dec 24- Jan 4.

It’s #mentoringmonday!! Welcome Issy and Vanessa to our BBBS team! Issy is a Student from Algonquin College completing her placement with us and Vanessa is our new Casework Assistant! These two are making sure kids in our community have warm clothes and full stomachs. Reach out if you’d like to visit the office!
